Social media influencer Eli Mwenda has returned online after a brief hiatus.

Eli took a two-week break to recuperate after undergoing face surgery following an assault that he claims left part of his face 'sliced open.'

The 'Man Talk' podcaster informed his fans he is doing just fine and recently took a vacation for some alone time.

"Man, it's great to be back! Here’s a little glimpse of what I’ve been up to 🏝️I’ve had some well-overdue alone time to read, binge movies, journal, reflect, meditate, and ultimately breathe. It’s been glorious. The surgery went perfectly and my face is nearly back to normal with no permanent scars. We thank God," he said.

Eli also thanked his fans saying;

"I can’t express my gratitude for all the beautiful messages I’ve received from during my time off. Thank you to everyone that sent flowers, cards, chocolates, and other gifts. Special shout out to my clients that have been accommodating and extremely supportive, I appreciate you & can’t wait to get created again! Back to work baby!"

Eli Mwenda said he was attacked on July 2, 2023, while leaving an event at night by someone he personally knew though he promised not to expose his identity.

"I have had to have surgery to avoid any permanent scaring. It has impacted my work schedule meaning I'll be unable to shoot content until my face fully heals," the influencer stated.

Adding; "I have decided not to name him publicly, as I don't believe he should be defined by one poor decision. I forgive him wholeheartedly on a personal level."

He said he had followed all the legal channels against his attacker "... to prevent this from happening to anyone else."
