There were several celebrities who parted ways in 2022.
While some celebrities remain silent about the reasons why they broke up with their former partners, others like Stevo Simple Boy have nothing to hide - with the rapper revealing that he parted ways with his ex-girlfriend because she was forcing him to have sex with her yet he wanted to be celibate until marriage.

Amber Ray and Jamal 'Rohosafi' Marlow
Jamal 'Rohosafi' Marlow and Amber Ray had an on/off relationship for about two years from 2020. They went public with their relationship in December same year.
In April 2021, Amber Ray confirmed that she had been married to Jamal Marlow as his second wife but three months later, in July, she announced that their marriage had hit rock bottom and that they had parted ways.
Amber Ray publicly split from Jamal shortly after she traded insults with the businessman's first wife Amira.
However, Jamal and Amber Ray started flirting with each other again months after their marriage crumbled.
Things got ugly in November when Amira decided to file for divorce from Jamal for disrespecting her on various occasions by rekindling his love with Amber Ray.
With Amira out of the picture, Jamal and Amber Ray ultimately decided to renew their love.
However, Jamal and Amber Ray's reunion didn’t last for long as they broke up again in January 2022.
Amber Ray confirmed the breakup through a post on social media where she announced that she was single and ready to mingle.
“Those I dated 2021 Your certificates are Out Please come and collect them & 2022 intake is ongoing ….Chances are limited ? #amberthebrand,” Amber Ray wrote on January 24.
Amber Ray and IB Kabba
Amber Ray hooked up with a Sierra Leonean IB Kabba after breaking up with Jamal.
However, Amber Ray’s relationship with the West African didn’t stand the test of time either.
The two broke up after a month or so and Kabba went ballistic airing Amber Ray's dirty linen in public.
The Sierra Leonean complained that Amber Ray was a toxic girlfriend, claiming that the socialite was very insecure and that she used his phone to block people on Instagram.
Kabba also claimed that Amber Ray didn't like showering and loved sex inside cars and bushes.
Corazon Kwamboka and Frankie Kiarie
Corazon Kwamboka, on February 20, 2022, announced she had broken up with her baby daddy Frankie Kiarie aka Frankie Just Gym It, marking an end to their two-year relationship.
A grieving Corazon took to social media to announce that she was now single, hinting that she had tolerated a lot for the period she was with Frankie.
“I’m single. I choose me. Life goes on,” Corazon Kwamboka wrote.
Corazon and Frankie’s breakup came as a shock to many people given that they had just been blessed with their second child in December 2021 and they seemed like they were enjoying a blissful relationship.
Frankie hooked up with Corazon sometime in November 2019 after breaking up with her baby mama Maurine with whom he has two children, all boys.
Maureen later disclosed that Frankie was already flirting with Corazon when they were still together.
In fact, she said Frankie and Corazon were already hooking up, while the fitness instructor was still committed to her.
Speaking during an interview with Massawe Japanni, Maureen admitted that she was still in love with her baby daddy and that at the time of their break up, they were due to tie the knot.
“We were to turn six years come December and this close (using her fingers to estimate) to getting married. We were already engaged and then we saw there was no need to continue with marriage because if we are not okay before the marriage, it won’t get any better after,” Maureen said.
She added that;

After hooking up with Frankie, Corazon Kwamboka hastily got pregnant for him in quick succession, maybe to tie him down completely.
Corazon quickly got pregnant for Frankie and gave birth to their first child together, a baby boy, on August 9, 2020. She got pregnant again and gave birth to baby number two, a girl, on December 8 2021.
Even though Corazon and Frankie broke up in February, they started dropping hints of getting back together months later. In October, the two were seen enjoying quality time together at Dunga beach in Kisumu city. However, they are yet to publicly reveal if they got back together.
Pretty Vishy and Stevo Simple Boy
Rapper Stephen Otieno Adera alias Stevo Simple Boy and Purity Vishenwa aka Pritty Vishy broke up in March 2022.
Stevo and Pritty had been dating since 2019 but their relationship was only made public in early January 2022.
Pritty met Stevo in 2017 at Kibera Creative Arts (KiCA) centre where she had gone for an acting gig.
She, however, 'friendzoned' Stevo until 2019 when they officially started dating.
In March 2022, Stevo and Pritty parted ways, Stevo claiming that they broke up because Pritty was forcing him to sleep with her yet he wanted to remain celibate until marriage.
Stevo later fooled everyone that he was dating Jenny Wangui and was about to marry her but it later turned out that the 'relationship' was just for chasing clout.
Pritty likewise also 'got into a relationship' with singer Madini Classic in September and by October they had broken up. It's believed that their 'relationship' was also for chasing clout.
Nicola Traldi and Chantal Grazioli
Eric Omondi's famous ex-girlfriend Chantal Grazioli broke up with her boyfriend Nicola Traldi in June 2022 after he allegedly battered her.
Eric, in a series of posts on social media, called out Traldi for assaulting Chantal. The comedian also shared on social media photos and videos showing the extent of the injuries Chantal suffered.
Eric rushed to rescue his ex-girlfriend after he heard that she had been assaulted.
Nicola Traldi was arrested and locked up at Thindigwa Police Station before being arraigned at Kiambu court on June 21.
Chantal introduced Traldi to the public in January 2021 after she uploaded a photo of them together while on the beach, and accompanied it with a love emoji.
Notably, Chantal started dating Traldi after breaking up with Eric Omondi whom they had dated for four years.
Size 8 and DJ Mo marital issues
Size 8 ran away from her matrimonial home and took her kids with her after clashing with her husband DJ Mo in August 2022.
The mother of two admitted that she ran away from her matrimonial home because her husband wronged her really bad.
Speaking to Vloggers, DJ Mo and Size 8 emphasized that they were a normal couple and that they had their ups and downs.
"Yes, I ran away. I ran away and I was very angry at DJ Mo alikua amenikosea. So I ran I just needed some space to breathe and just talk to God. I believe when my emotions are so high if we are under the same roof tutaongeleshana vibaya, tutatreatiana vibaya so I had to just go," Size 8 said.
Size 8 and DJ Mo’s marriage has not been a bed of roses as they have been affected by infidelity and bitter disagreements.
Speaking during an interview with Kiss FM, Size 8 opened up about a major disagreement with her husband in 2016.
The mother of two revealed that sometime in 2016 she locked DJ Mo out of their house and threw out his belongings.
She acknowledged the fact that at the time she was not mature enough to handle domestic squabbles calmly.
Size 8 also narrated another disagreement in 2018 which resulted in her moving out of their family house and renting her own apartment.
“I’ve moved out…In 2018 nilitoka nikapack na nikaget hao yangu,” she revealed.
Size 8 however didn’t talk about the infidelity that happened in her marriage.
In October 2020, DJ Mo was exposed for having extra-marital affairs with a manicurist working in Bahrain identified as Margaret Wanyama.
Wanyama through blogger Edgar Obare said she had been dating DJ Mo for a while and at some point was pregnant for him. She allegedly terminated the pregnancy.
In January 2021, Margaret Wanyama revealed that DJ Mo and her had a platonic relationship after they smashed in 2016. She claimed that she had a boyfriend and the mix master went back to being loyal to his wife Size 8.
“We smashed one time that was in 2016 but we became friends. He has a wife and I have a man. I did clear that story,” Margaret Wanyama said then.
Mo and Size 8 tied the knot in a secretive and private ceremony at the Attorney General’s office on September 23, 2013.
