Kenyan artiste Kevin Kioko known by his stage name Bahati has suffered a major setback after YouTube pulled down his new song over copyright infringment.

The song dubbed 'Huyu' was deleted on claims by Tanzanian upcoming artist- Genius Jini X66 who doubles up as singer Jay Melody's producer.

Confirming it, Bahati in an Instagram post claimed that the move was malicious.

"Another attack from Tanzania… who is genius Jini x66??? he maliciously deleted my song #huyu from YouTube no.2 on trending," Bahati stated

Responding to the malice claims, Genius Jini X66 said this was the second time his beats were being sampled by Kenyan artistes.

He said Bahati should have approached him for a business deal instead of sampling his work without consent.

"Nikiishusha hi nyimbo nani atanilaumu? Ku-create sound huwa sio kitu chepesi jamani tunaumiza sana akili hii ni mara ya pili beat zangu wana copy nikiongea sijui naonekanaje. Bahati kaka ungenhitaji hii sound ungenicheki ti ningekutengenezea kuliko kufanya hivi nawapenda Kenya ni my second home but pia tusifanyiane hivi please," he said.

Loosely translated as; "(If I strike this song who would blame me? Creating a sound from scratch is a difficult task for someone to copy. This is the second time my beats are being sampled. Bahati if you needed these beats you would have asked me to work with you. I love Kenya as my second home but let's not do each other dirty.)"
