Lawrence Njuguna alias DJ Fatxo is being dropped by companies as their brand ambassadors because of the mysterious death of Jeff Mwathi.

DJ Fatxo is being treated as a person of interest in the death of Mwathi. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is investigating the matter.

The mix master has argued his innocence in Mwathi's death but this has done little to stop companies from cutting him off.

At least two companies have confirmed terminating their contracts with DJ Fatxo so far.

Lesedi Developers Ltd announced it had cut ties with DJ Fatxo due to his implication in Jeff Mwathi's death saga.

The real estate firm in a statement said in keeping up with its values, they had found it tenable to disassociate with the musician-cum-DJ.

"Dear valued customers,

"We at Lesedi Group Limited would like to address recent events regarding our previous brand ambassador, DJ Fatxo. We are deeply saddened and concerned by the allegations that have been brought against him.
As a company, we take these accusations very seriously, and we have decided to dissociate ourselves from DJ Fatxo as our brand ambassador. We believe that it is important for us to uphold our values and principles, and we cannot condone any behaviour that goes against them.

"We understand that this news has been difficult for many, especially the parents of the deceased and the wider community who have been impacted by this tragedy. We extend our deepest condolences to them and assure them that we stand with them during this difficult time.

"As parents ourselves, we know how important it is to teach our children to always do the right thing, and to be responsible for their actions. We believe that it is our responsibility to promote positive values and contribute to a better society. We will continue to do this as a company and encourage our customers to do the same.

"Thank you for your continued support, and we ask for your understanding and patience during this time.
Sincerely,
The Lesedi Group Limited Team
."

Certified Homes also announced that it has terminated its contract with DJ Fatxo.

In a statement on Sunday, March 12, 2023, the company's management said it was in solidarity with Jeff's family and urged relevant authorities to fast-track investigations in order to ensure justice is served and the culprits are brought to book.

"In light of the recent happenings and one of our Brand Ambassador Dj Fatxo being mentioned as a person of interest in the ongoing investigations by the DCI leading to the death of Jeff Mwathi, we hereby terminate our contract with Dj Fatxo.

"We stand with Jeff's family at these sad moments as they seek answers following his untimely demise.

"We urge the relevant authorities to fast track the investigations in order to ensure justice is served and the culprits are brought to book.
