Late gospel singer Ilagosa wa Ilagosa was only buried in February and already reports are emerging that his ghost is haunting his family in Vihiga county.
Speaking during an interview on the YouTube channel, Ilagosa's father admitted that he heard the rumours about his late son's ghost.
"Nimeskia kutoka tu kwa watu huko nje nje kwa sababu sina simu ya touch," he said.
The musician's father, however, strongly dismissed reports that he was being haunted by his son's ghost.
He added that he sleeps in his house alone, wondering how people would know if his late son's ghost was strangling him as claimed by reports.
"Lakini mimi nashindwa mimi nakaa kwa hii nyumba pekeangu, nalala hapa ndani peakangu. Sasa huyu mtu ambaye anasema naona marehemu kama anashika shika mimi kwa shingo yeye huwa kama anakaa wapi? Na ni mtu gani huyu? Mambo kama hio inatokea wapi? Kame ningekua nimekaa kwa hii nyumba watu wawili watatu ningesema labda mimi nalalanga kwa usingizi ndo huyu mwenzangu anaskia alafu anaenda kusema marehemu anashika shika mimi."
Ilagosa's father stressed that his late son was resting peacefully in his grave, noting that his neighbours have not had any encounter with the late musician's ghost.
"Lakini mimi sijawai kuona hii kijana ata katika area hii yote hii majirani wote hawa ambao tunaishi nao hapa wanasema tu mambo iko sawa. Hakuna nyumba yoyote ambayo imegongwa ama ameshtua mtu kwa barabara ama amemuonekania anadai kitu fulani. Msanii amelala vizuri sana kwa kaburi yake huko chini."
The musician's father also vowed to deal ruthlessly with the person spreading reports about his son's ghost haunting him.
"Huyo mtu mi nikijua nawezamfikia kwa njia mbaya sana sababu kuchezea jina ya mtu kama mimi namna hivyo ata kama ni mdogo ama mkubwa ni makosa kubwa sana. Uambie watu kile kitu ambayo ni ukweli na uachane kucheza na jina langu, ukome kabisa kuniweka kwenye mtandao."
Ilagosa's death
Reports emerged that gospel singer Illagosa Wa Illagosa was poisoned moments after his death was Ilagosa announced.
Gospel singer Emmy Kosgei, while mourning Ilagosa's death, expressed utter shock at 'unimaginable wickedness in the household of faith' amid reports that the deceased had been poisoned.
However, it was later reported that the singer died due to blood pressure that had caused heart enlargement.
