PSC announces over 3,000 internship vacancies; How to apply

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced 3,000 internship vacancies for Government ministries, departments and agencies positions.

Interested candidates are rquired to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university, they should also have graduated not earlier than 2017.

"The Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) is a government initiative designed to offer opportunities for graduates to acquire and develop valuable technical and professional skills as well as work experience in the Public Service,

"The Public Service Commission (PSC) is pleased to announce to the public the recruitment of 3,000 interns (Cohort) under PSIP for the financial year 2022/2023, "PSC wrote.

Successful candidates will enjoy a monthly stipend as stated by the commission.

"Duties include completing duties mutually agreed upon and assigned by the supervisors, documenting relevant skills acquired in their areas of deployment; and actively participating in any relevant mentorship activities and additional responsibilities designed for the programme," the commission added.

The internship which is on a non-renewable basis will take 12 months.

How to apply

Interested candidates are advised to apply through the commission's official website before August 9, 2022.

Interested and qualified graduates are requested to make their applications through the commissioner's job portal accessible through www.publicservice.go.ke or www.psckjobs.go.ke.

PSC announces another position

The commission (PSC) also announced 1,000 internship vacancies to be filled before August 9, 2022.

Successful candidates who will be appointed and deployed to schools will benefit from the programme by acquiring practical skills and knowledge.

"The Ministry of Education, State Department for early Learning and Basic Education has declared 1,000 vacancies for internship under the Digital Literacy Programme (DLP)," PSC wrote in a statement.

To qualify for the programme, candidates are required to have a Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in information communication technology or a bachelor's degree in ICT, or a diploma in ICT or ICT integration in Education, from a recognized institution or its equivalent.

Successful candidates will enjoy a monthly stipend as stated by the commission.

The candidates are also required to have knowledge in networking and infrastructure, they should also be able to integrate with Education in terms of E-learning and content development.

The commission noted that the programme will run for one year (12 months).

Interested candidates were advised to make their applications online through the commission's official website.
