Roots party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah now claims his UDA rival William Ruto has been working for him, through the bottom-up economic model initiatives.
Speaking to a local TV station the candidate, who has promised to legalise marijuana (bhang), said the wheelbarrows Ruto has been distributing, will be used to transport bhang to the market if he wins in August.
The Deputy President's UDA party uses the wheelbarrow as its symbol.

Ruto has been traversing the country distributing the tools as part of his agenda to empower the youth.
"When it comes to bottom-up, Ruto has been working for me. The good part of it is that he has given me a wheelbarrow to transport marijuana to the market. We shall not have a problem with transportation on the first 100 days," Wajackoyah said.
Wajackoyah also noted that Ruto's agenda doesn't solve the economic crisis in the country. He insisted that the youth graduating from universities deserve more than wheelbarrows to eke a living.
He also criticized Raila Odinga of the Azimio One Kenya coalition over his proposal to give a Ksh6,000 monthly stipend to needy families, terming it as unrealistic.
"Maybe Raila is going to sell Opoda farm, how do you come up and tell people that am going to give you Sh6,000, where are you going to get it? That means Kenyans are going to be borrowing," he said.
Wajackoyah threatens to skip presidential debate
At the same time, the candidate threatened to skip the presidential debate slated for August 9 if he won't be paired with Ruto and Raila.
"I am not attending the presidential debate unless I am paired with Ruto and Raila. I am more popular in Nairobi than any of these people. I will win this election without debate," he added.
The debate will be conducted in two tiers, with the first featuring candidates who garnered 5 per cent and below, in the recent polls, and the second with candidates whose ratings are above 5 per cent.
A recent poll by Infotrak shows that Raila and Ruto are leading in popularity with 43 per cent and 37 per cent ratings respectively. Wajackoyah and Agano party's David Mwaure were ranked third and fourth with 4 per cent and 0.1 per cent respectively.
