Fugitive police officer Caroline Kangago wanted for double murder is alleged to have shot herself dead today morning at Nyawa in Elgeyo Marakwet county.

According to County Police Commander Patrick Lumumba, Kangogo took her life early morning in a bathroom where she was found by her mother.

The officer was wanted for the killing of a fellow officer John Ogweno in Nakuru before proceeding to kill another man Peter Ndwiga in Juja a day later before she went missing.

But even upon her death, the question that DCI hopes to provide answers to is what could have triggered the 34-year-old officer to embark on a killing rage before taking her own life.

Sources within the police however have revealed that she left a string of messages on her phone that could help investigators unravel the tragedy that claimed three lives.

First, in the text messages, she is said to have left behind she points a finger of blame at her boss in Nakuru for sexual harassment at work.

Secondly, bad blood between her father who declined to let her remarry and her estranged husband believed to be a police officer.

She further alleges that her earlier victims conned her money with the promise of procuring a new vehicle on her behalf and that she had no apologies for their death.

Her last wish, as captured on the text messages as sent to K24 Digital by a DCI officer, she wants to be dressed in a wedding gown her estranged husband couldn’t buy her and her body be cremated.

"To my people, it's my wedding day dress me in a white gown that Ngeno didn’t afford," the note read in part.

"To my parents am requesting my body be cremated to end your suffering. Remember to take good care of my children," the note added.

Kangogo’s body was taken to Iten County Referral morgue as police continue to piece together their investigations.
