Singer Willy Paul now claims that local music remains stagnant due to language barrier.

In an Instagram post, Pozee urged local artistes to practice singing in English to help them push their music internationally.

"My advice to all Kenyan musicians, please normalize singing in English. That's the only thing blocking us from going global," Willy Paul wrote.

He, however, admitted that most artistes struggle with English since it is not their language. But according to him, the effort is what counts before any growth can be noticed.

"I know wasanii na Kizungu ni maji na stima... Hamjui but just try na mkishindwa call my PA mpate msaada bila malipo," Pozee added.

Controversial artiste

Willy Paul is among a few musicians in Kenya who have managed to stay relevant for some time now. But, all has not been rosy for him as he continues to face accusations of clout chasing for selfish gains.

Last he made headlines, the singer had publicly announced his new relationship with Miss P.

The news came as a surprise following their 2022 breakup which saw Willy Paul accused of rape.

However, a year later the singer went public about his intentions with Miss P forgetting everything that had happened in their past.

Announcing their relationship on social media, Pozee admitted that he had been hiding his plan to settle down with the songbird.

“I’m marrying her. I’ve been hiding it but not anymore,”

A few days later, the singer came back with a different tale, saying he had broken up with Miss P.
