Kenya Power has issued a notice informing Kenyans of a scheduled power blackout on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
In a statement, the utility firm said the power outage affecting three counties is part of routine maintenance and will last between six to eight hours.
"Hello, these areas will be affected by planned power interruptions tomorrow," Kenya Power wrote.
The three affected counties include; Nairobi, Homa Bay and Migori.
Kenya Power said a power outage in some parts of Nairobi will run for eight hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
These areas include Lusaka and Baba Dogo.
On the other hand, power shutdown in both Homa Bay and Migori counties will last 6 hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In Homa Bay, blackouts will be experienced in Homa Bay town, Sindo and Nyandiwa areas.
In Migori, the affected areas are Awendo town, Kehancha and Makairo.
