Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has hit out at President William Ruto for shifting blame to county governors whenever he is heckled by residents.

In a statement shared via his official X account, the MP insinuated that Ruto has had tendencies to shift the blame to other leaders to avoid coming off as an unwanted leader.

"In Nakuru they heckled you ,you said they are Heckling Susan Kihika in Kitale they Mercilessly raised their decibels too close to your ears, you said they are heckling Maurice Bisau ,in Meru they are now jumping up and down, chanting war songs, you say they are making loud noise for Kawira Mwangaza, let's keep watching! (SIC)" he wrote.

Earlier, Ruto was forced to calm a section of youth booing during his speech.

At the time, the president angrily fired at the residents saying it was not yet time for elections for them to heckle elected leaders.

Mimi nataka kila kiongozi apatiwe heshima," Ruto said

We do not want this kind of nonsense. We want a united country."

The Head of State who had been accompanied by his deputy Rigathi Gachagua, Meru County Governor Kawira Mwangaza and MPs and MCAs from the larger Meru region was speaking in Kiutine, Meru's Igembe Central Constituency.
