Passenger dies aboard KQ plane at JKIA

Kenya Airways has announced the death of a passenger who died while boarding KQ flight to Mombasa from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

In a statement on Wednesday, September 14, KQ said the deceased developed breathing difficulties while trying to board KQ612 plane.

"The passenger was pronounced dead by medical personnel at JKIA while the aircraft was still on the ground.

"The JKIA health and security agencies are currently handling the issue," the airline said in the statement.

KQ sent a message of condolence to the family of the deceased.

"We convey our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult time," the national carrier added.
