Nairobi Woman representative Esther Passaris has told off protesters who booed her during the march against femicide.

This was after an X user expressed that booing the woman rep was the best thing she did to a 'mediocre' politician.

"I really booed @EstherPassaris! Best thing I’ve done in a long time. We really need to boo these politicians whenever we see them! We are tired of mediocrity!" the X user stated.

In her response, Passaris fired back saying: "You must have a really boring life if the best thing you have done in a long time was booing me. By the way. You might have worn a t shirt, carried a placard and drank water financed by @NGAAF_KE for today’s march. #getalife #loveconquerseverything."

During the march, the woman rep struggled to deliver her speech after a section of protesters booed her and accused her of maintaining silence over the spate of femicide in the country in recent weeks.

As the chants grew louder, the charged crowd demanded the woman rep to go home.

"Where were you? Go home! Where were you!" the crowd chanted.

Esther's bodyguards were forced to whisk her to safety.

Before being interrupted by the agitated crowd, Passaris called on President William Ruto to speak against the ongoing macabre killings witnessed in the country.

This, according to the woman rep, will make the victims' families feel that the President understands their pain.

"I've talked to some Cabinet Secretaries and emphasized the need for the President's voice on this matter. I'm pleased that our party leader, Raila Odinga, addressed it. We require the President to do the same and recognize that the families affected by these brutal murders are going through immense trauma. They need assurance that the government is working on their behalf and that the President empathizes with their pain," Esther said.
