Police in Nairobi have launched investigations into a mysterious death of a man who was found dead in his house in Ng'ando area, Dagoretti South constituency.
The man, Aaron Moenga, was discovered lying dead in his bed days after he had gone missing.
His niece, Janet Moraa, who recovered his body noted that her uncle had disappeared on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
"We found his door locked from the inside and had to peep through the window. We tried calling him but he did not respond. We broke into the house and found him dead," she stated.
Police at the scene noted that investigations were ongoing.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased was moved to a nearby morgue pending an autopsy.
Separate incident
Elsewhere in Kitengela, Kajiado county, police are probing an incident where a 27-year-old woman allegedly stabbed her two-year-old daughter to death and later fed on her remains.
The suspect, Olivia Naseren, is said to have killed her child and cut her to pieces before feeding on her intestines and kidney.
“Juvenile aged two years old was sliced by the mother into pieces, and she later fed on her intestines the suspect was found at the scene unconscious and escorted to the Kitengela Sub-county Hospital for treatment,” a police report reads in parts.
“Neighbours were attracted by noise from her house and they rushed into her room where they found she had locked herself inside alongside the minor. She began by breaking her TV set before she picked her baby whom she stabbed more than 100 times as neighbours watched in disbelief. She later dismembered her body and began eating the deceased body parts," the police report added.
The woman is currently in police custody.
