Rapper Mejja has opened up about a health incident that saw him get hospitalised a few years ago.
The Kenyan artiste best known for his cheeky lyrics and trademark tumbler shared the experience during a recent interview with 'Iko nini' podcast.
Speaking about the experience for the first time, Mejja opened up to share how a ruptured appendix almost turned fatal.
According to the artiste, this happened back in 2017 shortly after releasing the song 'Bablas'. However, while the rest of the Kansol celebrated the new milestone, Mejja says he was in an ambulance transporting him to the hospital.
"Tuli release Bablas hivi nikajipata kwa ambulance. Wasee walikuwa wanasema ni hii jaba yako lakini siamini ni jaba sijui ni nini. Ni mchanga, ime pile up," Mejja narrated.
Having never had such an experience before, Mejja said the kind of pain he felt was beyond anything he had ever felt before.
"Alafu ilikuwa painful joh, nikapigwa picha," Mejja went on.
Mejja hospitalized
He was then forced to be admitted, another scary move that worsened his pain.
"Nakwambia mimi niliambiwa nisikule na surgery ni kesho. Sada mimi hii food, msee akaniambia kwasababu nini yangu ilikuwa ina kuja ku burst. Alafu akasema zikiburst organs zako zitakuja kuoza," Mejja went on.
He, however, had no choice but to let the doctors operate on him to avoid worsening his situation.
"Sikuwa prepared to go surgery siku io. Niko peke yangu unaletewa document flani usign inasema incase surgery iende mbaya hawako liable," he added.
He however says after the surgery doctors struggled waking him up because he was deep in his sleep.
"Mi nili doze kabisa nikiamka nilipigwa juu nilikataa kuamka so unapigwa hizo za slap face Mejja Mejja," he demonstrate.
But despite it all, he was grateful to his Kansol brothers for standing with him since he had not mentioned anything to his family.
