Governor Nyaribo revealed that the MCA was travelling in the company of two fellow MCAs, Hon. Duke Masira and Hon. Priscilla Nyatichi when the accident tragically unfolded.

"I have learned with shock and deep sadness of the sudden and tragic news of the demise of Nyarnaiya Ward MCA Hon. Elijah Osiemo in a tragic road crash along the Maai Mahiu-Naivasha road this afternoon," the Governor announced.

Both Hon. Duke Masira and Hon. Priscilla Nyatichi have been taken to Naivasha Level Four Hospital for treatment and stabilization, with their condition being closely monitored as medical professionals assess the extent of their injuries.

"Hon Osiemo was travelling with other two MCAs, Hon. Duke Masira and Hon. Priscilla Nyatichi, when the accident occurred. The two Members of the County Assembly have been rushed to Naivasha Level Four Hospital for treatment and stabilization awaiting the doctors' advice," the statement added.

The Governor has ordered the body of Osiemo to be transported to Nairobi for preservation.

"My Government has directed that the body of Hon. Member of County Assembly be moved to Nairobi for preservation as the County comes to terms with this tragic death," he added.

Eulogizing the late MCA, Nyaribo described Osiemo as a vibrant, dedicated, and focused leader with an abundance of potential in both leadership and politics.

"In Hon. Elijah Osiemo, the County has lost a young, industrious, talented, and focused leader who had an immense leadership and political life ahead of him. May God rest his soul in external peace," he added.

"I take this opportunity to wish the injured MCas a quick recovery and offer my heartfelt condolences to the late Osiemo's family, residents of Nyamaiya Ward, and Nyamira County," he concluded.
