Family and friends of Bomet Woman Representative Linet Chepkorir Toto on Saturday, March 5, 2023, converged for her dowry negotiation ceremony in Chemomul village, Bomet county.
According to photos shared online, both families converged at Toto's home ready to witness the next chapter of the two lovebirds.
Toto showed up dressed in a skirt suit and a pair of earrings and some accessories to match.
Kimutai arrived at the ceremony accompanied by elders in accordance with the Kalenjin culture. The elders from both partners had negotiations in line with their 'Koito' culture.
Afterwards, the two families posed happily for a photo, signifying that the negotiations were a success.
Multiple sources allege that the legislator's dowry was Ksh350,000.
Toto's engagement
Toto and her fiance Godfrey Kimutai got engaged on February 14, 2023.
Photos that surfaced on social media show the lawmaker being proposed to by her lover with rose petals and lit candles spread on the floor.
The man was seen kneeling on one knee with another photo showing Toto holding a bouquet of flowers.
Taking to social media, Toto prayed for God's blessings on her new journey.
"And I finally said YES…. Happy Valentine's Day sweetheart I love you💕💕… Congrats you are one in a million may God be with us on this journey. I love you, sweetheart ❤️," she wrote.
Adding;
