KUCCPS opens application portal for 2024 university, college placements

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened its application portal for 2024 university and college placements.

According to a notice shared on Thursday, February 8, 2024, KUCCPS announced that all applications should be done via the official student portal student.kuccps.net.

The portal is open for placement of students to Universities, TVET institutions, Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), Teachers Training Colleges (TTCs), and Open University of Kenya (OUK).

KUCCPS is targeting the KCSE class of 2023 and Form Four leavers from 2000 to 2022 and the portal will be open until Tuesday, February 20, 2024. 

"The wait is over! The @KUCCPS_Official portal is now open! It's time to apply for your preferred course in an institution of your choice. Keep it here for updates," the notice read in parts.

Results slips

The latest comes days after the Kenya National Examinal Council (KNEC) released result slips for the 2023 KCSE.

In their announcement on Saturday, February 3, 2024, KNEC stated that the result slips had been sent to schools for collection.

“The 2022 KCPE certificates and 2023 KCSE result slips have been sent to all schools that presented candidates for the examinations. Candidates and parents or guardians are therefore encouraged to visit their schools and collect the documents," the statement read in parts.

The results officially released by Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ezekiel Machogu featured 899,453 candidates who sat for the exams.

Out of these, only 1,216 candidates scored a mean grade of A plain whereas 201,133 others attained a minimum university entry grade of C+.

526,222 candidates scored a mean grade of D+ and above while 48,174, scored a mean grade of E.
