Kenya Power announces electricity interruptions in 2 counties

Kenya Power has announced electricity interruptions that will affect residents in Kiambu and Kisii counties on Monday, December 18, 2023.

In a statement released on Saturday, the utility firm explained that these interruptions are essential as part of their ongoing network maintenance efforts.

"Good Evening. The listed areas will be affected by planned power interruptions tomorrow (18th December 2023). The interruption is part of network maintenance," Kenya Power stated

The affected areas in Kisii County include Mwembe and Gekomu, where the power outage is expected to occur on Monday between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Residents in Mwembe, Gekomu, Otamba, Gesure, Kiamabundu, Nyansancha, and adjacent areas will be affected.

Additionally, the areas of Adiedo and Wikondiek in Kisii County will experience power interruptions from 9:00 am. to 4:00 pm. on the same day.

Residents in Adiedo Safaricom, Oriang, Kamolo, Adhoge, Wipap, Dago, Wimagak, Mango, Obilo, Wikondiek, Omboga, Nyawino, Rambware, Raongo, and adjacent locations will be impacted by the blackout.

Parts of Kiambu County will also be affected, with power interruptions scheduled from 9:00 am. to 5:00 pm.

Residents in Mungetho, Gachororo Juja, Kuraiha, Bravers, Kiaora, Mtaro, Kariki, Nchengo Coffee Farm, Azania Farm, Kijito Est, Bob Harris, Kirai, Mashure, Karakuta, Mutuma Est, Allan Dashi, Gachibi, Diana Farm, Eagands, Makwa, Oriti, Kihenia, Mangu, Maryhill Girls, St. Francis Girls, Karibaribi, Gatukuyu, Igegania, and adjacent areas should be prepared for the temporary power outage.
