Gachagua: I urge our Mt Kenya families to sire at least 7 children per couple

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has confessed that he regrets siring only two children.

Speaking during an interview with a local TV station on Friday, October 6, 2023, the DP expressed that he regrets making the choice based on assumptions made by the white man.

He subsequently encouraged Mt Kenya families to sire at least seven children per couple assuring them that God will provide for them.

"I regret siring only two children. I was stupid. I was misled by the white man to limit my lineage. I urge our Mt Kenya families to sire at least 7 per couple. God will provide for you," he stated.

In the same breath, the DP noted that the Mt Kenya region was still as stable, peaceful and united as before.

While affirming the region's unity, Gachagua blamed the media for trying to portray a rift between leaders of the mountain.

He subsequently affirmed his commitment to lead from the front to ensure that the leadership of the mountain continues holding together.

The DP also vowed to bring on board every leader from the region.

"The mountain is stable, peaceful, and united as before. It is the media that is trying to portray a rift between the leaders of the mountain," the DP said.

"I will lead from the front in ensuring that the leadership of the mountain continues holding together and will bring on board every leader from the region," he added.
