DCI launches hunt for suspect behind theft of Ksh4M belonging to Chinese couple

Detectives in Juja, Kiambu county have launched a manhunt for the suspect believed to be behind a robbery incident where a Chinese couple lost Ksh4 million.

According to a statement by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), the accused said to be a part of a five-man gang allegedly intercepted a vehicle ferrying the Chinese couple headed to Kiahuria in Juja.

Detectives say that the Chinese nationals had just withdrawn the money from a bank at Chiromo in Nairobi county.

The thugs intercepted the couple along Bob Hasir Road and gained entry into their vehicle before parting away with their money.

"Detectives based in Juja are looking for the suspect whose image appears below, following a robbery incident that occurred yesterday evening in Juja, Kiambu County.

"The suspect was part of a five-man gang that included three men dressed in police uniform, who intercepted a vehicle carrying a Chinese couple before making away with Sh4 million," DCI stated.

The Investigative agency has appealed to the public to volunteer any information that may lead to the arrest of the wanted suspect.
