Kenya Power issued a notice informing Kenyans of power interruptions in select parts of the country on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
The utility firm noted that Thursday's power interruptions will affect Nairobi, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nyeri, Mombasa, Kilifi, and Taita Taveta Counties.
Kenya Power said parts of Nairobi County will be in blackout for eight long hours, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Parts of Elgeyo Marakwet County will experience power interruptions from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The affected areas include; Kapsowar Town, AIC Kapsowar Hosp, Kapsowar DCs Office, Kapsowar Girls, Kapchesewes & adjacent customers.
Parts of Nyeri County will not have an electricity supply from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
The areas affected include; Tetu Girls, Kiriti Sec Sch, Upper Gachuiro, Rosewood Academy, Kigogoini Mkt, Wandumbi Sec Sch, Huhoini Girls, Kirurumi Mkt, Gaithuri Village, Kina Tbc, Aberdare Gate Kiandongoro, Gathaithi Sec Sch, Gatumbiro Mkt & adjacent customers.
Parts of Mombasa County will be in a blackout from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The affected areas include; Coast General Sub County Hosp, PN Mashru, St. Elizabeth Sch, Jambo Hotel Chaani, Migadini, Port Reitz Hosp, SGR Line 2, Rubis Petrol Stn & adjacent customers.
Parts of Kilifi will experience power interruptions from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The affected areas include; Northcoast Beach Hotel, Whispering Palms, Gurdum Villah, Xanadu Beach Villahs, Royal Reserve Hotel, Ahadi Beach Villahs, Salama Beach, Mwend Wa Panya, Kanamai Timboni, Barani, Barani Dispensary, Safi Sana Ltd, Barani Four Farm, Barani Pri Sch, Kwa Mutua, Kwa Kariuki, Toto Dogo, Kwa Mwamweni, Kwa Mwavitswa & adjacent customers.
In Mavueni, still in Kilifi county, the areas affected include; Mavueni, Dsitsoni, Chasimba, New Life Ministries, Mwarakaya, Jaribuni & adjacent customers.
Parts of Taita Taveta will be in blackout from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The areas affected include; Bachuma Gate & Livestock, Miasenyi, Wangala, Misharinyi & adjacent customers.
