At least five people cheated death after a road accident along Embu- Meru highway on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
Reports indicate that the five who are from the same family were travelling in a personal car when the accident occurred in Runyenjes, Embu County.
The driver is said to have lost control and veered off the road. It rolled multiple times before bursting into flames.
The victims suffered minor injuries and so far no death has been reported.
They are currently receiving medical treatment at Kyeni Mission Hospital in Runyenjes. Some of the victims are reported to be undertaking treatments for minor burns.
Meanwhile, so far six students have been reported dead following a separate accident in Busia involving the Ebenezer Academy school bus and a lorry.
The road crash occurred along the Webuye-Bungoma highway.
Among the six five were girls.
