Police in Nairobi on the evening of Tuesday, February 6, 2024, captured two suspects caught with bhang worth over Ksh300,000 from a residential house in Joska along Kangundo Road.
According to a report by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI), the Nairobi Anti-Narcotics Unit detectives supported by the Operations Support Unit acting on a tipoff conducted a raid at the home where they found the outlawed substances weighing 10 kilograms.
During the raid, two 21-year-old suspects were arrested including a man identified as Laban Ochieng Odera and a woman - Ann Nyambura Njoki.
The duo has since been taken to Muthaiga police station awaiting arraignment. The matter remains under investigation.
"The two suspects were escorted to Muthaiga Police Station for court processing, and the exhibit which weighed 10kg estimated at a street value of Sh300,000 secured," DCI stated.
