Maina and Mwalimu King’ang’i popularly known as Churchil have been on the airwaves for more than a decade.

They have positioned themselves as one of the bigwigs in the media industry.

Maina revealed his salary during a previous interview with Kamene Goro.

"How much do you get paid, like your take home from here just being on radio?" Kamene questioned to which he responded saying; "About two point something million.”

Maina Kageni, who landed on radio by accident, started working at Capital FM before switching to other stations.

He says he secured the gig after an impressive voice-over.

“I paid for the airtime, then they said we need Ksh40,000 for the voice-over. I said can I do it? They said it’s your ad if it's rubbish it's rubbish…I did the voice and then they asked me, have you ever been on the radio?” He explained noting that afterwards he was offered a show.
