Kenyan music producer Magix Enga has revealed his current financial struggles as he appealed for assistance.

Through his official Instagram page, Magix explained the challenges he faced in the music industry, where he feels he hasn't received his fair share from several collaborations he has worked on.

The artiste also shared his struggles maintaining a recording studio, which had to be closed due to rent issues.

The 'Watoto Na Pombe' hit producer called on President William Ruto to help him in any way he could, starting by salvaging his music career.

"Our president Dr. William Samoei Ruto I can urge you to please help me in whatever support you can starting from the music industry to my colleague," he pleaded.

Magix Enga shared that he now faces unemployment and emphasized the importance of providing for his one-month-old baby boy, who depends on him for care and support.

"Right now am writing this I have 1 one-month-old baby boy who is depending on me. I tried to pull myself together but the studio I was working was shut down because of rent issues. I still believe that am the best producer," he wrote.

Personal struggles

In January 2023, the producer opened up about his personal struggles, revealing that he was grappling with significant challenges and expressing that he was not in a good place.

"Hey people, place life imenifikisha I don't understand anything. I love you all so much. There is talent though I am not doing okay. Am going through a lot and I do not understand why. Somebody please. Kama nilikosea, I apologize. More love to all of you," he said.

Back in October 2022, he revealed to YouTuber Eve Mungai that he had embarked on a transformative journey, shaving his signature locs and quitting substance abuse.

Magix conveyed that his decision to cut his locks and renounce drugs marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life.

In a previous post, he also disclosed that he had spent three months in rehab, combatting his addiction to drugs.

He reflected on succumbing to the allure of substances as a means to cope with life's pressures, ultimately spiralling into addiction.
