A needy family in Githiga village, Githunguri constituency, Kiambu county has every reason to smile after Deputy President William Ruto honoured his promise to build them a permanent house.

The family officially received the house in a grand ceremony conducted on Saturday, July 23. The ceremony was officiated by Kiambu Woman Representative Gathoni Wamuchomba who is vying for the Githunguri parliamentary seat.

"Sometimes last year Deputy president William Ruto offered to build a house for a needy family in Gatitu Githiga, I'm happy t announce that the three-roomed house is now officially open,

"Now little Njeri and her 4 siblings have a dignified home. On behalf of the family and Gatitu village, we are grateful. May the Lord grant you the desires of your heart, "Wamuchomba stated.

Apart from receiving a house, the family also received 100 bags of maize from the DP who noted that one of the children caught his attention.
