A family Shisiru village in Kakamega county is demanding justice for their loved one who succumbed to injuries after he was attacked by unknown assailants on Saturday night.
The deceased, John Ouma, who was a form four student at Ingotse High School was kidnapped on his way home after attending a night vigil at a local church in Shibuli village.
"We want the police to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of the child since he was not a trouble maker and had gone to church for a night vigil," Rukia Ouma, the sister to the deceased said.

They said the police have been sleeping on their job in the area, with limited police patrol giving room to armed gangsters to roam the village without fear of being caught.
"If people from the church can be attacked it means we are in a big mess as a sub county. It pains us that nothing major has been done since his death," the grandmother to the deceased said.
Victor Omwanda who was also assaulted on the very night said they were coming from the church when the men who were armed with crude weapons attacked them at 4:00am.
A pastor at Christ Chapel George Mukabi said news of the death of the student shocked them since he left the sanctuary after the night vigil where he was peaceful.
" We suspect the attack was a retaliatory by assailants from the neighbouring village since one person from their sister was equally attacked in this place," Pastor Mukabi said.
They also accused the medical staff at the Kakamega Referral Hospital of laxity saying their slow response in attending to emergency cases has seen many lives lost.
The body of the late has been preserved at the Kakamega referral Hospital awaiting a postmortem while the police have launched investigations in the matter.
