SportPesa donates football kits to 20 teams in Suba constituency

SportPesa Foundation, through the Kits For Africa, has donated football kits to 20 soccer teams in Suba South Constituency.

The donation included soccer shorts, jerseys, bibs and markers that will benefit over 500 budding players.

Speaking on behalf of the teams, community leader Stephen Sangira thanked the SportsPesa team for the generous donation that will enable talented young players to explore their talent to the next level.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank Sportpesa for remembering the people of Suba South who love football. Our main problem has been uniform, shoes and the playing field. And we are happy that Sportepesa team is here to help us,” Sangira said.

While appreciating SportPesa for the kind gesture, St Pius FC coach Pascal Akondo exuded confidence in the gaming giants with regards to their ability to nurture sporting talents in the area.

“We are requesting Sportpesa to come and nurture talents. We need someone to connect us with bigger platforms in a bid to help us to go beyond this county.

“I want to congratulate SportPesa for what they have done to us today. The donation that they have given to us will boost our morale and we will train properly.

Sportpesa’s Public Relations manager Lola Okulo also reiterated their mission which is she says is to develop local football across the country.

“We know that the most important thing in the life of a footballer is a jersey and that's what we, with the help of our partners in Europe, have decided to bring to you first. And the kits are just part of the support we are giving you," she said.
