Central Regional Commissioner Wilfred Nyagwanga has directed security officers in Juja, Kiambu County to firmly deal with criminal groups that have been unleashing terror on residents.
Nyagwanga cited a group calling itself ‘Gaza’ that he said has been terrorizing residents in the past few months, and warned them that their days are numbered.
He said no member of the sect will be spared and that they will be dealt with ruthlessly.

The administrator said idle youth will not be allowed to disrupt economic activities by making the area ungovernable, saying force will be used to flush them out.
He regretted that some youth instead of using the several government empowerment programmes to make a living, they had decided to engage in crime.
"Tell them that their 40 days are over. Unless they repent and change, they will see fire. Other than crime, they should have enrolled in the government’s Kazi Mtaani programme to cushion them from unemployment. I don't understand why the so-called Gaza don't go for these opportunities and instead engage in crime,” Nyagwanga said.
Meanwhile, he called on residents to work closely with the Nyumba Kumi committees to improve security in their regions.
Nyagwanga was speaking on Thursday, September 24, at Nyacaba Chief's Camp in Juja, Kiambu County where he installed George Maina as the pioneer Assistant County Commissioner for the new Witeithie Division.
The administrator said the establishment of the Witeithie Division and the placement of an Assistant County Commissioner will bring Government services closer to the people and also propel development projects in the area.
He also took issue with the many quarries in the area that have become a security threat to locals.
Kiambu County Commissioner Wilson Wanyanga asked the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) to conduct an audit to establish compliance by quarry operators with operational protocols.
He said several people have died in some of the quarries because of negligence by the operators.
Wanyanga was reacting to the outcry by the Witeithie Ward MCA Julius Macharia Taki who had said that the quarries had become death traps.
Last month, two people died after part of one of the quarries caved-in on a lorry that they had been loading building stones in the area, causing huge outcry from residents.
