A middle-aged woman from Migori County pleaded with police to detain her two teenage daughters, who were caught clubbing on Thursday evening (August 15).

The woman even offered to give money to the law enforcement agents in a bid to persuade them to hold the girls aged between 14 and 16 for at least one week.

Police in Kuria East, however, declined to continue detaining the two, instead freeing the girls, who went home with their mother.

The teenagers were among 30 high school students caught revelling and drinking alcohol at Robby Nightclub in Isebania.

Area MCA, Elius Nyaure, claimed it wasn’t the first time the nightspot was allowing underage party-goers into the facility.

The ward representative now wants the entertainment joint closed.

Parents of the 30 minors were called to the Kuria East police post, where they took their children with them.
