A middle-aged woman from Salgaa in Nakuru County collapsed on Saturday afternoon as she waited for the chopper carrying Deputy President William Ruto to land.

The woman fainted next to an ambulance belonging to Nakuru County Government, but the equipped vehicle’s driver and staff were no where to be seen.

Members of the group that was waiting for the DP’s arrival were forced to comb through Salgaa Market in search of the driver to no avail.

Well-wishers with First Aid skills were forced to swing into action in a bid to save the woman from further health complications.

The DP was scheduled to preside over a fundraiser aimed at helping at least 20 churches in Salgaa area.

As at the time of going to press, the woman was yet to receive professional medical attention.

More soon.
