Tongareni Member of Parliament Eseli Simiyu is claiming that Ford Kenya Leader Moses Wetangula has been having wrangles with Governors of Bungoma County because of his request to be bought a helicopter.

Eseli who is the former Ford Kenya Secretary-General and Wetangula's ally-turned-foe said the Bungoma Senator fell out with governor Wycliffe Wangamati and his predecessor Ken Lusaka after they refused to buy him a helicopter as he demanded.

Speaking during the Azimio la Umoja rally in Bungoma on Friday, February 4, Eseli said Wetangula wanted the helicopter so as to match his fellow presidential hopefuls who he says all own helicopters.

“Wetangula and Wangamati fell out because he wanted Wangamati to get him a helicopter. He said all the other presidential candidates have helicopters so he also wanted one. That is what he also told Trans Nzoia Governor,” Eseli claimed.

The legislator further revealed that Wangamati refused to use the county money to heed Wetangula’s demand and that is when they parted ways.

“Wangamati asked him; do you want me to spend Ksh800 million from the public coffers for your helicopter? Will you save me if I'm jailed for misuse of funds?” Eseli reported.

He then cautioned the people to only elect leaders who will work for them.

Eseli is currently the Secretary-General of the newly formed DAP-Kenya Party.
