Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has been kicked out as Ford Kenya Party leader alongside the Organising Secretary Chris Mandu Mandu.

The party's National Executive Council on Sunday, May 31, said it resolved to eject Wetangula over alleged gross misconduct.

The officials replaced Wetangula with Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi as the interim party leader.

While addressing the press after delegates meeting, Ford-Kenya Secretary-General Eseli Simuyi said the party had lost its ideals under Wetangula’s leadership.

The party officials also accused Wetangula of failing to provide leadership, especially in reconciling warring members and champion Ford-Kenya's campaign to unite the country following General Election loss.
