Private Bikers Association of Kenya held a peaceful ride to mourn their four colleagues who were murdered at Kitengela about one week ago.

The hundreds of bikers drawn from various parts of the country gathered to console the deceased's families eulogizing the four as humble and morally upright people.

The riders brought Kitengela to a standstill in a peaceful ride while calling for speedy investigations and justice.

Fredrick Mureithi Wanjiru(30), Victor Mwangi Wanjiru(25), Mike George Ondusso(29) and Nicholus Kyengo Musa(28) met their death 15kms from Kitengela town at Enkamuriaki village where villagers accused them of being suspected livestock thieves.

The villagers lynched the four before they burnt their three motorsport bikes, phones and documents.

The agitated bikers now dispute claims that the four were lynched at around 11 pm as per police report saying they were all unreachable by 7 pm.

According to family and friends, the four were in the village at a home of a relative to celebrate the 25th birthday of Mwangi a sound engineer before they met death.

Some of the bikers narrated how they were set to join them for the birthday party which was slated for August 8, but suddenly they were all out of reach by 7 pm.

In an emotional gathering, the bikers cried foul that the four might have met their brutal murder for simply donning dreadlocks and having tattoo marks.

Led by their chairman Sammy Kiumbe the bikers appealed to the authorities to hasten investigations into the matter.

"As bikers, we are so worried that our colleagues were brutally killed and so far nobody has been arrested. We believe that detectives have all it takes to narrow down on individuals in the village who might have been involved. We call on the authorities to unravel these murders,’’ Kiumbe said.

The bikers' call for justice comes amid major concerns with reports pointing out that the four could have been murdered for unknown motives since they frequent the village and were all known by several neighbours.

They are reported to have conducted a local neighbour to prepare them kienyeji chicken and ugali at a fee before they met their cruel death.

Relatives say one of them had informed a relative that one of the bikes had a puncture and the rest joined him to fix it at the scene where they were found lynched.

Police reports were made at around 11 pm and by the time police arrived at the scene no single villager was around.

So far at least five people have recorded statements with the police.

Isinya sub-county police Commander Charles Chepkong'a says investigations into the unfortunate incident have intensified reassuring the families that justice will prevail.

Mwangi and Victor residents of Syokimau were brothers and only sons of Lucy Wanjiru who works in the United Kingdom.

Ondusso an orphan owns a tattoo shop and Kyengo was his employee. They both lived in Mlolongo.

The two brothers are set to be laid to rest at their rural home Leshao Pondo village Nyahururu on Friday while the families of Onduso and Musa are going on with burial plans at their Nyamira and Machakos counties respectively.
