Ibrahim Abass who is the Eldas Ward Representative died on Sunday, July 4.

Reports indicate that Abass died at the Wajir International Airport while awaiting an emergency plane to move him to Nairobi for treatment.

Governor Ahmed Ali Muktar in a statement on Sunday evening mourned the deceased describing him as a leader who was passionate about work and who advocates for excellent services for the people of Wajir.

"I convey my deepest condolences to the family, friends and the people of Eldas Ward and by extension the people of Wajir County over this sudden and painful loss," he said.

"May the Almighty Allah grant him Jannatul-Firdaus and forgive his sins. May Allah, Rahmani Rahim, expand his grave and light it with his blessings, Ameen ya Allah!" He added.
