President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on Sunday, December 19, hosted children of State House staff and those from Children's Homes for a day-long Christmas party at State House, Nairobi.
The hundreds of children were treated to an array of fun activities and later addressed by the President and his wife in the evening.
"In a brief address, the President wished the children a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2022, and urged them to be cautious during the festive period so as to avoid contracting Covid-19," State House said in a statement.

President Uhuru and the First Lady have been hosting the children for Christmas party for the past nine years.
This year's party is the last one before the President retires next year after serving his two-year term.
