Uhuru clears school fees for two schoolgirls, pledges support in their football career

President Uhuru Kenyatta has cleared the school fees of two Kisii based football teenage referees.

Uhuru through State House Comptroller Kinuthia Mbugua, cleared the school fees arrears of the two sisters on Thursday, November 4, after their story was aired in a talk show on Citizen TV.

Zulfa Abdul Ahmed and her sister Neima Abdul Ghan are students at Gitembe Mixed Secondary School in Kisii.

The sisters who are in forms four and two are Football Kenya Federation (FKF) class three certified referees said they were out of school due to lack of fees.

After clearing their fees, the President further promised to look into their desires to be top class FIFA referees.

The sisters have been officiating matches in the lower football leagues in Kisii county, using their earnings to support their family.
