UDA’s Mvita parliamentary candidate arrested for causing chaos at polling station

UDA's Mvita parliamentary candidate Omar Shallo has been arrested alongside Samir Ballo a candidate for Tudor ward over claims of storming Tudor Primary School polling station in an attempt to stop an alleged voter bribery scheme.

Mombasa county police commander, Stephen Matu said that the two are being held at the Makupa police station awaiting interrogation and recording of statements by detectives.

"The suspects have been arrested, for the offense of storming a polling station. They are being held at Makupa police station awaiting completion of investigations," he said

He added that the duo had stormed Tudor Primary School polling station and began attacking other aspirant's accusing them of bribing voters.

He noted that the suspects will be arraigned in court tomorrow.
