A woman in Shauri Moyo is seeking justice in court after her neighbours allegedly assaulted her over music system (woofer) ownership.

According to court papers, William Wanzala and Debra Auma Juma had given BN the woofer to keep before they turned against her and accused her of stealing the music system.

They allegedly frog marched her, undressed her, and beat her for hours leaving her with serious injuries.

However, in a virtual appearance before Makadara Principal Magistrate Anne Njagi, Wanzala and Juma denied attacking the complainant on December 28, 2021, at her rental house located within the Shauri Moyo area.

It is reported that after beating her up for about three hours, the accused took off leaving her sprawling on the floor with no help.

The complainant later went to the hospital having sustained injuries on her face, eyes, and whole body. She was treated and given a P3 form to be filled out.

She later reported the matter to the authorities who took up the matter by conducting the investigation and later arrested the accused persons.

They were then escorted to Shauri Moyo Police Station before being arraigned in court.

“You are both accused of assaulting B.N. on December 28, 2021, at her residential house in Shauri Moyo area in Nairobi County," reads part of the charge sheet.

They, however, denied the charges and were granted cash bail of Ksh10,000.

The matter is set to be mentioned on February 14, 2022
