Tuesday blackout to affect 3 counties – Kenya Power

Kenya Power on Monday issued a notice informing Kenyans of planned electricity interruption in three counties.

In a statement shared, the utility company stated that the planned outage which will occur on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, will affect parts of Busia, Kisii and Kilifi counties from 9 am to 5 pm

"Good evening our esteemed customers, the following areas are scheduled for power interruption tomorrow," Kenya Power said.

In Busia, the power outage expected to start from 9 am to 5 pm will affect areas such as Maseno village, Korinda prisons staff quarters, Kisumu Ndogo, Bugengi, Miriae village, Okiludi, St Peters' Ojamong, Okatikoko, Otimong', Pasama Village, Asyriam, Crown City, Corner Point, Apegei market, Osasamet, Ong'aroi, Aterait, Keng'atuny,, Obekai, Alakara, Montessori and adjacent customers.

The planned electricity interruptions in Kilifi county will affect areas such as Total Amkeni, Jallaram Plastics, My Pasta, Kikambala Posta, Baharini Primary, Kitchen, King, Mzuri II, Part of Elsek estate, Kadzengo, Mega Couture, part of Pwani oil, Pride Industries, Afriware EPZ, Msumarini Madrassa, Madina and adjacent customers from 9 am to 5 pm.

Areas that will experience blackout in Kisii county from 9 am to 4 pm include part of Keroka Town, Gesusu market, Rianyoka, Masimba and adjacent customers.
