It's uncommon for Kenya Power to announce a planned power outage affecting only one county.

Kilifi is among the coastal counties that have been affected by floods due to the ongoing El Nino rains in the country.

The flooding in Kilifi caused property destruction including damage on the Mbogolo bridge on the busy Kilifi-Mtwapa road.
