Thugs break into retired Kenya Airforce Sergeant’s house while he’s in church, s***l money, and loaded p****l

An unknown number of thugs broke into the house of a retired Kenya Air Force Sergeant in Subukia, Nakuru County, and stole Ksh250, 000.

In the incident that happened on Sunday, October 16, the assailants also stole a pistol that was later recovered.

The victim, retired Sergeant Gilbert Githogori, was in church with his family when the incident happened.

"On 16/10/2022 at 1445hrs at Subukia Township, one Gilbert Githogori Muikamba a retired Sergeant from the Kenya Air Force reported that he had left for church only to come back and found his homestead having been broken into.

"Scene visited and established that an unknown number of thugs gained entry by breaking through the bathroom window," a police report seen by K24 Digital read in part.

Thugs broke into house

The thieves broke into Githogori's bedroom where they found a safe box that contained Ksh250, 000 and his Cezka pistol s/no P2497 and 99 rounds of 9mm.

"The safe metal box was recovered at his compound fence having been broken into where the cash was stolen but the Cezka pistol was recovered with all the 99rounds of ammunition," the statement added.

The police have since launched a manhunt for the suspects.
