Police have arrested six people in connection with theft of goods and money running into thousands of shillings that were stolen from Daisy Special School in Lurambi, Kakamega County.

The six, who work as security guards at the primary school, are being held in custody at a Kakamega Town police station as investigations into the Friday night theft continue.

Daisy Special School head-teacher, Rosemary Obiero, told K24 Digital that the burglars made away with the pupils’ food, medicine and the school’s funds amounting to Ksh75, 000.

Kakamega Central police commander, David Kabena, said the six security guards that are being held in detention will be produced in court on Monday, January 27.

“We suspect that the six conspired with the burglars to plan and execute the crime,” said Kabena.
