A middle-aged man has died after sustaining serious injuries during a mob attack in Kayole Nairobi.

Police reports indicate that the man had stolen a metal grill and three spades all worth Ksh8,000 after breaking into a store at a local construction site.

The owner of the house raised an alarm and the man who is yet to be identified was attacked by a group of angry members of the public who gave him a dog's beating.

“At around 3:00 am, the unknown thug broke into the house of John Ndung’u which is under construction and got into the store where he stole a metal grill and three spades valued at Ksh8,000.
