A two-storey building has collapsed at Membley area of Ruiru in Kiambu County.
At least three people are feared dead as they are still trapped inside the building that is said to have collapsed at around 10:00 am.
Already, Kiambu County fire brigade officers are struggling to rescue those trapped in collaboration with police and National Construction Authority (NCA) officers.
The building reported to have been a go-down was earmarked for demolition by Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) to pave way for expansion of the Eastern bypass whose construction is underway.
According to one of the fire officers, they have sought Kenya Army and NYS reinforcement to heighten rescue operations.
