Motorists using the busy Thika Superhighway have been informed of part closure of the road over the weekend.
Kenya Urban Roads Authority issued the notice on their Twitter handle on Wednesday.
"Kura wishes to inform members of the public that city bound expressway of Thika Superhighway at Allsopps (Outer Ring Road Junction) will be closed on Saturday 14 and September 15, 2019," said Kura ag. Director-General Silas Kinoti.

The closure is to allow the installation of beams on the ongoing construction of Outer Ring overpass.
"Motorists heading to the city centre will be use the service lanes as directed by the traffic marshalls.
The remaining section of the outbound expressway will also be closed, but next week at the weekend.
"It is advisable for motorists to use alternative routes to reduce congesting the service lanes from 6am to 6pm," says Kura.
