Thika: Lynched man offered his wife chips, chicken before slitting her neck beside 4-month-old baby

Shock is still rife in the village of Gatuanyaga village, Kiambu County, as residents try to come to terms with the horrific murder of a middle-aged woman by her husband.

However, it has now emerged that the man who allegedly killed his wife at Gatuanyaga enjoyed treasurable time together as a family before the husband executed his heinous act.

“They had taken chips and chicken from one of the fast food joints before the unfortunate incidence. They seemed to enjoy the moment,” John Macharia, a resident, said.

The locals would recount how the two were seen enjoying their said good time inside the allegedly hired vehicle before the man slit his ‘lover’s’ neck, leaving her to fight for her dear life.

Hours after murdering the innocent woman, the suspect, 24 hid himself inside a nearby bush and stabbed himself severally.

However, the pain was too much to bear for the suspect as he was forced to cry for help, attracting the attention of angry locals who were baying for his blood.

Locals lit fire around the bush, forcing the suspected killer out, and stoned him to death.

According to reports, the brutally murdered woman was in the company of an unharmed 4-month-old baby inside a car that was found abandoned by members of the public.

Inside the hired vehicle, a sharp knife and a metal file were recovered, leaving locals suspecting that the man had planned to brutally murder the 20-year-old woman.

Locals are still dumbfounded as the unfortunate incidence had happened a few meters from where another man was last month found dead and his skin removed

According to police, the two are from Kenyatta Road in Juja, Kiambu County.

The bodies of the two were moved to General Kago mortuary in Thika as sleuths commenced investigations to ascertain what could have led to the incident.
