The 7 countries in Africa with no confirmed case of coronavirus so far

With 47 countries in Africa confirming positive cases of coronavirus, seven nations are yet to record a single COVID-19 case. The 47 countries that have confirmed cases of the contagion, have 5, 252 infections as of March 30; 174 deaths and 335 recoveries.

The seven countries that are yet to record even one COVID-19 case include: Sierra Leone (West Africa), Sao Tome and Principe (Central Africa), Malawi, Comoros and Lesotho (Southern Africa), Burundi and South Sudan (Eastern Africa).

Until March 30, Botswana was the eighth country that was yet to record a single case of COVID-19. However, on Monday (March 30) evening, the country registered its first three positive cases of coronavirus, Health minister, Lemogang Kwape, announced through the national broadcaster – Botswana Television (BTV).
