Residents of Kamachuku in Maara sub-county, Tharaka Nithi, woke up to a rude shock after they found the body of an architect working with Chuka University dead at his home on Monday, September 26, 2022.
Maara OCPD Mohamed Jarso said the lifeless body of Moses Kirimi was found at his home with serious injuries on his head.
Investigations by the police led them to the 2nd floor of the incomplete apartment, where the body of Kirimi's wife Pamela Mwende was found dangling from the roof at around 9:00 am.

A suicide note believed to have been authored by the woman showed that the couple was battling domestic wrangles.
Police believe the woman killed the husband before taking her own life.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Kirimi was hit by a blunt object, leading to his death.
Bodies moved to Chuka morgue
The bodies of the deceased were moved to Chuka Level 4 Hospital Morgue as police continue with investigations.
The couple leaves behind three children.
With the number of suicide and murder cases on the rise in the county, Jarso urged couples to solve marital problems amicably as opposed to violence.
"I would like to call upon couples to solve issues amicably anytime they arise and to always have limits to conflicts to avoid such incidents in the future", the police boss said.
Residents, who spoke after the incident, also appealed to young couples to ensure they have regular guidance and counselling sessions and to seek advice from elder people to avert such incidents.
The incident happened barely a day after a man from Ruguti Village in Igambang'ombe sub-county committed suicide on suspicion that his wife had extramarital affairs.
